We understand that every event we do is unique - we aim to make it so, however here is a breakdown of the general process involved in working with us:

"Our tea parties begin at £15.50 per head for groups of between 12 & 80.

Send us an email or give us a call requesting a quote for your event. We'll need to know where you'll be hosting it, how many people it's for, & where you intend to have this fabulous get together. Also make sure you tell us whether you'll be wanting prop hire, catering or both. You may want to hire out specific items, just let us know so we can check availability. If you require catering, please be sure to let us know about any dietary requirements your party may have prior to booking. We can also provide waitressing & optional extras at an additional cost.

Pretty Odd can deliver & collect your items free of charge within a 10 mile radius of our HQ (B71), with any location outside of that charged at 45p per mile subject to our availability. We request a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your date, with the remaining amount cleared & with us (plus a refundable loss and damage deposit if hiring items) no later than two weeks prior to your event, this is to allow us to place your orders in good time & to ensure everything goes to plan."

WHY BOOK WITH YOU?

 

Pretty Odd are an award winning bespoke event & catering company, offering tea & cake to your door! Personalisable & completely different, our aim is to bring our quirkiness & charm to create an event (big or small) that you & your guests will remember forever.

Booking with Pretty Odd is a completely personal experience - at our heart we are a quirky travelling afternoon tea business. This means we travel to your home or venue (village halls, businesses, fun days etc...) & you can choose to hire our vintage china or props, sample our afternoon tea menu or create your own bespoke themed package which may include our props & catering. The first thing is to contact us with your requirements & ideas, or alternatively have a look through our website for some inspiration!

WHERE DO YOU SET UP?

 

Absolutely anywhere that you might need liquid refreshment & a tummy full of treats! whether it's your home, your friend's house, your office, church hall, street fair or charity event - Pretty Odd provide bespoke travelling afternoon tea to your home or chosen venue.

We're about bringing tea, cake & quirky to the masses (or you & your friends in their living room if you'd prefer!) have a chat with us & see what we can offer you.


 

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN YOUR AFTERNOON TEA MENU?

 

Our classic Afternoon Tea includes a selection of finger sandwiches with handcooked crisps & salad, scones with strawberry jam & clotted cream & a choice of desserts. You also get unlimited tea & coffee with milk & sugar.

We can also offer the option of additional extras at a small cost, such as our savoury boards that can include miniature quiches, pork pies & cheese boards.


 

SOME OF OUR GUESTS HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES. CAN THIS BE ACCOMMODATED FOR?

 

Pretty Odd try our absolute best to accommodate for food allergies. We do ask that the host inform us of any food allergies prior to booking, as we can't ensure any later requests can be accommodated. We are happy to provide gluten free options where we can & do make an effort to supply gluten free options at our travelling tearooms. Just let us know prior to booking & we'll do our best to accommodate! Unfortunately due to our working environment & suppliers, we cannot guarantee our ingredients will not come into contact with nuts. 


 

WHAT FOOD CHOICES TEND TO BE POPULAR WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS?

 

Our classic Afternoon Tea Menu is always a hit, & we've decided on our most popular fillings for our Menu so you can't go too far wrong!

In terms of cakes - our zesty Lemon Drizzle & Classic Triple Layer Victoria Sponge are also big favourites!


 

I'VE ARRANGED A VENUE - HOW MUCH WILL IT COST FOR YOU TO TRAVEL & SET UP?

 

Our Travelling Afternoon Tea packages vary in price per head, and our vintage china, table props & menu are included in the prices you see on our Travelling Afternoon Tea page. We charge an additional 45p delivery & collection outside of our HQ radius of B71, & where we can, we set up for you.

We also offer additional waiter/waitressing services at a small additional cost should you require it. Please check out our full Terms & Conditions for the process of packing away.


 

DO YOU PROVIDE NAPKINS, TABLECLOTHS, TABLES ETC?

 

Pretty Odd do provide napkins & have a variety of vintage tablecloths within our emporium of oddities, however it's best to discuss your needs with us prior to your event.

In terms of tables, we do ask there is a space cleared for us & a table or 2 when we arrive at your venue, this makes set up times quicker & allows us to work with what the host &^party guests would like. We can discuss this when you enquire.


 

WE'D LIKE TO HAVE A THEMED WEDDING - IS THIS SOMETHING PRETTY ODD CAN PROVIDE?

 

Pretty Odd also have experience in catering weddings, & can currently accommodate for up to 80 guests. Our pop up tea room & sweet shop can also be hired & operated anywhere that you may like - we  can even supply staff to go with them!


 

CAN YOU SUPPLY TO CHILDREN?

 

Due to the nature of our stock, our primary market is grownups! However we are able to work on children's parties & have done so in the past on a variety of themes! It's best to give us an email & we can always put together a quote for you! See our Gallery for our previous work. (The Circus & Oz parties were personal faves!)


 

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

 

We love to travel, & we're perfectly equipped to do so - We're based in the West Midlands - the home of Pretty Odd. However, we travel all over the country, we just asked for a small charge for collection & delivery of items.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK WITH YOU?

 

As far as you'd like! obviously we want everything to be perfect for your special event, but if you have a last minute request drop us a line and we'll try our best to help you! A deposit is the only way to guarantee your date as we get a lot of enquiries. 


 

DO YOU OPERATE A VENUE I CAN HIRE OUT?

 

Pretty Odd sometimes host themed tea parties at our 'secret' location- the dates of which are announced on our Facebook. If you require a venue closer to you, we'd be happy to assist you with our knowledge acquired from countless tea travels! We don't currently have our own venue as we travel so much to bring the party to you & your loved ones. 


 

DO YOU HOLD PROOF OF FOOD HYGIENE & PUBLIC LIABILITY?

 

We are proud owners of a level 5 for Food Hygiene & are holders of public liability insurance, so rest assured you're in safe hands. Our job requires to have both of these so we're covered for all of our lovely events.


 

DO YOU HOLD AN ALCOHOL LICENCE?

 

Not at present, but if you're having your get together at home, then there's nothing stopping you from bringing your own to enjoy with our treats - we'll even let you use our teacups so nobody has to know!
